Built from the ground up to fully support the modern WordPress Full Site Editing (FSE) standard, Avava combines a breathtaking glassmorphic dark-mode design with powerful audio features, delivering a state-of-the-art broadcasting platform for your listeners.

Advanced Live Audio Tuner & Player Engine

At the heart of Avava is a custom-engineered, fully responsive AM/FM analog tuner scale and interactive player. Listeners can dynamically scan frequencies, select stations, and listen to live audio streams. The theme includes an automated GD Library image processor that detects transparent circular logos to apply pixel-perfect border-radius styling on the fly. Furthermore, we integrated a real-time AJAX listener counter that dynamically updates the number of active listeners for each station without reloading the page.

Fully Custom Gutenberg Blocks (ThemeForest & Envato Compliant)

Avava has been completely modernized to ensure 100% compliance with Envato/ThemeForest strict block requirements. We eliminated legacy Customizer theme lock-in by implementing 23 fully customizable Gutenberg blocks. Each block features dedicated Inspector Controls in the editor sidebar, allowing you to configure settings directly in the editor:

• Interactive Tuner: Configure the default band (FM/AM) and starting frequencies.
• Hero Banner: Custom media upload buttons, taglines, multiple title lines, and description controls.
• Footer Socials & Widgets: Customize social link URLs, tags, and footer descriptions.
• Advanced List Controls: Toggle the visibility of categories, post meta, author tags, and sidebar items with simple switches.
• Authentication Modals & Profiles: Custom text labels and user profile settings.

Technical Optimizations & High Performance

During this project, we executed major performance optimization steps to ensure lightning-fast page loading speeds:

• Deferred Script Loading: Database-heavy queries (such as stations list queries) and audio player scripts are completely deferred. They are registered and loaded conditionally only on pages where radio tuner blocks are rendered.
• Dynamic FSE Script Registration: Solved FSE lifecycle limitations by checking and registering scripts inline during block render callbacks. This guarantees that localized variables (like nonces, URLs, and station JSON metadata) are successfully injected on the fly.
• Transient Caching: Dynamic database queries for station lists and logo shape checks are cached using WordPress Transients API to reduce server loads.
• Clean Codebase: Removed over 400 lines of dead legacy Customizer code, streamlining the theme configuration.

Flexible 3-Column Grid & Redesigned Templates

We redesigned the core FSE templates (Blog Feed, Category, Tag, and Search archives) into a modern 3-column layout. The left column displays dynamic category list badges and tags; the center showcases post grids with read-time calculations; the right hosts search bars and recent posts with thumbnails. The single post template is restructured into a 2-column layout. All elements align perfectly with a modern container system designed for screen-wide layouts.

Custom Post Types & Native Integration

Avava includes a powerful companion plugin (Avava Core) that registers custom post types for Analog Radio, Stations, Popular Songs, and Team Members. Popular songs automatically read audio file metadata and calculate durations to display play counts and track information directly on your homepage.
